A Gaithersburg man won $50,000 after buying a winning Powerball ticket at the Cedar Grove Store in Germantown. The store is known for its craft beer and sandwiches, including the popular “David Special” with smoked turkey or ham, bacon, pepperjack cheese, chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onion and horseradish bread and butter pickles. “A casual Gaithersburg gambler who focused on casino games just renewed his interest in the lottery after winning $50,000 on Sept. 9. Powerball Double game Drawing. He held one of two winning Maryland Double game Tickets for this evening’s draw.

“There’s no point in stopping playing now. I’m not getting older, I’m getting better,” he said as he claimed his third prize last week at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
