Sony’s latest State of Play livestream was packed with game announcements and updates for everything PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR 2. PlayStation fans got a look at several new remasters, including updated versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and a few Soul Reaver games. But there was also some new content here, including a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and lots of DLC for previously released PlayStation favorites.

Sony and Sucker Punch revealed the sequel to 2020 Ghost of Tsushimaa sequel with a new protagonist. From the official description of the game: “In the year 1603, a new spirit named Atsu embarks on a journey to the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, an area filled with vast grasslands, snow-covered tundras, and unexpected dangers.” Spirit of Yotei will be released sometime in 2025 for PlayStation 5.

Three hundred collecting bots are not enough for you? Then there is good news, because the Astro Bot collectathon will continue with free downloadable content that will bring new VIP bots – from Starblade And Helldivers 2 — to the nostalgic platform game. The free update in the fall also includes five new online speedrun levels.

The post-apocalyptic open-world adventure from Guerrilla Games from 2017. Horizon Zero Dawnis the latest PlayStation game to be re-released for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. Sony promises improved graphic fidelity and newly recorded dialogue. Horizon Zero Dawn – Remaster will be released on October 31st – anyone who owns the original PS4 version can upgrade to the remastered version for $9.99.

Aloy’s original adventure is also reinterpreted in Lego form. In an extremely silly Lego form. Lego Horizon Adventure has received a release date at State of Play, confirming the game’s release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC: It will be released on November 14th.

Capcom gave Monster Hunter fans an extensive new look at next year’s major open-world sequel. Monster Hunter World. But more importantly, we have a release date: February 28, 2025. More from Monster Hunter World will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show later this week.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s first main entry in the historic hack-and-slash Dynasty Warriors series since 2018 now has a release date: January 17, 2025. Dynasty Warriors: Origins will be released in 2025 for PS5, and there are also versions for Windows PC and Xbox Series X.

Coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2. The Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure from the developers behind Lost in chance. As the Burnt One, you befriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy and use his flame to light your way through a contradictory world of wonder and horror, according to the game’s official description. The Midnight Walk will be released in spring 2025 for PS5 and PSVR2.

Our first look at gameplay footage from Hell is us features the dark action-adventure game set in a war-torn country. Hell is us coming to PS5 in 2025.

In, let’s say, auspicious timing, the Pokémon-with-weapons game Palworld is now available on PlayStation 5.

Remedy’s second add-on for Alan-Wake 2, The house by the lakewill be released in October for the psychological horror game. The second of two announced DLC expansions sends players to a mysterious facility on the shores of Cauldron Lake, where a government organization’s secret research goes awry.

Naughty Dogs 2022 remaster of the original The Last of Us will be released in the PlayStation Plus games catalog later this week.

One of the worst-kept secrets of the year is the new remastered Soul Reaver collection from Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remastered was officially announced at State of Play and shows the visual upgrade that Raziel will receive this December.

More Starblade including a new photo mode. Developer Shift Up confirmed DLC for the game and a PC port of its beefed up action game, with a Nier: Automata The collaboration will come later this year.

Classic role-playing games Lunar: Silver Star story completed And Lunar 2: Eternal Blue completed will be coming to PlayStation in spring 2025 with improved graphics, audio and quality of life improvements.

The retro-style beat-’em-up from Dotemu and Tribute Games Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge receives two more characters – Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko – as part of the Radical Reptiles DLC. A free update also adds new music from composers Tomoya Tomita, Keiji Yamagishi, Anamanaguchi, and others.

The virtual reality spinoff of the Metro series will be released on November 7th for PlayStation VR2, a new trailer for Metro Awakening revealed.

Mistwalker’s very cool looking RPG breaks out of its Apple Arcade shackles later this year with the expanded Fantasian Neo DimensionThe RPG by Final Fantasy veterans Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu will be released on December 5th for PS4 and PS5.

Retro horror game Fear the limelight will be released this October, thanks to publisher Blumhouse Games, alongside the PlayStation 5 PC re-release.

ArcheAge Chronicles is brand new. The sequel to ArcheAge And ArcheAge: Unchained takes place 50 years after the original online RPG. The new game will be released for PS5 sometime in 2025.

BioWare’s latest Dragon Age game is almost here. At State of Play, we got an in-depth look at the new gameplay, which sees the VeilGuard battling a corrupted dragon named Corius the Icetalon. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31st for PS5 and other platforms.

Towers of Aghasbathe action-adventure fantasy builder game, challenges the player to rebuild their civilization and ecosystem while maintaining a balance between the two. The game will be released in Early Access in November.

The Hitman will be released this December for PlayStation VR 2.

Spruce up your PS5 with Sony’s new Chroma Collection, which includes Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal color options for the DualSense controller and PS5 console covers. Pre-orders for the Chroma Collection begin on October 3, with Chroma Pearl and Chroma Indigo accessories launching on November 7. The Chroma Teal items launch later, on January 23, 2025.
