On Monday, there were several reports of PlayStation users experiencing network issues while trying to load the system. Down Detector, a website that tracks such outages, saw an increase in the number of users reporting network outages on Sony’s flagship gaming console.

PlayStation’s official website states that some servers are experiencing problems. Most of the time, users face issues with logging in and creating a new unit. Affected platforms include PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5 and the Internet.

According to Down Detector, 88% of reports stated that they had problems with the PlayStation servers. While 8% said they had trouble downloading, 4% said they were unable to load the website.

Several users shared screenshots on social media of the error they encountered while trying to load PlayStation. Here is a post:

“I literally JUST bought a PS5 and the Playstation servers are down,” one user said, along with a photo of the TV screen with the error message.

“@AskPlayStation PSN is currently unavailable. I can’t even access my screenshots through the PS app, trying to share is slow, and of course I can’t play games online,” said another user.
