PlayStation 5 Pro – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle sold out in seconds – and now black market dealers are selling it for thousands

The PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Console Bundle includes:

• Limited edition PS5 Pro console
• Limited Edition DualSense Edge Wireless Controller
• Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller
• Limited Edition DualSense Charging Station
• Limited edition console cover for the drive
• Limited Edition Vertical Stand
• Original PlayStation controller style cable connector housing
• 4 PlayStation-shaped cable ties
• PlayStation stickers
• Limited PlayStation poster (one of 30 possible designs)
• PlayStation paperclip

Just minutes after pre-orders opened on PlayStation Direct in the UK, buyers were quick to report “sold out” messages for the limited edition 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro console bundle, causing frustration for many who had visited the site and previously joined the queue.

And now there are several offers for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition console bundle on eBay, with black market dealers asking for up to £10,000.

These black market traders do not have the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle in their hands. Rather, they are selling their successful pre-orders. But there are already numerous offers for the bundle on eBay from black market traders hoping to profit from the limited availability. The situation is so bad that there are counter offers on eBay warning buyers not to buy a pre-order from the black market traders.

Even the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, which was not as limited as the PS5 Pro version, is sold out, leading to black market sales all over the internet.

The situation brings back memories of the price gouging four years ago when the PlayStation 5 launched, and Sony seemed as powerless to stop it then as it does now. Of course, the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection doesn’t come out until November 21, so Sony and auction sites like eBay still have time to intervene, but neither company has announced plans to do so.
