Arch Manning’s first start is here! The Texas Longhorns hosted the ULM Warhawks in Austin at DKR to conclude non-conference play.
Manning is filling in for the injured Quinn Ewers, who suffered a torn oblique muscle last week against UTSA. As a replacement, Manning scored five touchdowns against the Roadrunners.
Manning looked a little nervous early in his first start and threw an interception into the Warhawks defense. But Arch calmed down on his next drive and began peppering the ULM secondary with several deep balls.
Manning set up a 56-yard pass to Isaiah Bond for a touchdown run by Jaydon Blue. Arch then found Blue on a 3-yard pass for the Longhorns’ second touchdown.
On the next drive, Ryan Wingo was the target as Manning hit the rookie for a 17-yard touchdown. Another long ball to Matthew Golden set up another Blue touchdown.
After a ULM field goal, Manning threw a fastball to Blue, which bounced off him and into the arms of Warhawks defensive lineman Wydett Williams Jr.
