It was previously announced that Raegan Revord (Missy Cooper) will return for one episode as Missy, the younger sister of Georgie (Montana Jordan), in the spin-off series. On Instagram, Revord shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the spin-off while filming her appearance. In one of the photos shared, she can be seen next to Barber and Jordan. Now with gray hair and beard, Barber looks completely different than when fans last saw his character before George’s death end Young Sheldon. The picture can be seen below.

Barber’s visit to the set could lead to speculation among fans that he was there to make some appearance for Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage. While a flashback seems entirely possible, Barber’s new look makes it less likely that he’s on set to make a cameo as George Cooper. Additionally, TVLine reported that Barber was only on set for a simple visit and is not expected to appear in the series.

Nevertheless, there seems to be a chance that Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage The team could secretly smuggle Barber into the show. It is noteworthy that the actor has already returned to the franchise in a completely different role after the death of his previous character. At the end of Young SheldonLast season, Barber played a mourner attending George’s funeral, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see a similar cameo in the spin-off.

Meanwhile, Zoe Perry (Mary Cooper) and Annie Potts (Meemaw) are also known for their appearances in Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage. Iain Armitage (Sheldon) is not confirmed for a cameo at this time, although producers have hinted that he could appear in a Christmas-themed episode. Alongside Montana Jordan as Georgie, Emily Osment will be seen as his wife Mandy, following the couple’s wedding in Young SheldonWill Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones will also take on the roles of Mandy’s parents, while Dougie Baldwin will co-star as Mandy’s brother.

“He’s 19 and a high school dropout. How smooth can that be?” series co-creator Chuck Lorre gave TV Insider a taste of what Georgie can expect in the new show. “It’s a bumpy ride, but the bumps are funny if you handle them right. There are also dramatic moments because they have to overcome inevitable obstacles to stay together.”

Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage will premiere on Thursday, October 17 on CBS.
