Paul Heyman has yet to return to WWE television like Roman Reigns and recently spoke about when that might happen. Heyman recently spoke to Sam Roberts at Fanatics Fest and was asked when he might return to television. You can watch the highlights from Fightful below:

On the question of when he might return to television: “I don’t want to be on TV just to be on TV. Everything we do has to be relevant. That’s the whole theory behind the island of relevance. If I came back at SummerSlam with Roman Reigns, it wouldn’t have meant anything. I couldn’t contribute to that moment. If I came back on TV last week with Roman Reigns, I couldn’t have done anything. I could have introduced him, okay, but that’s a moment and it’s not a moment that expands.

“It goes back to the saying, ‘Winning and losing matter.’ ‘By the order of the tribal chief.’ When I return to TV. If I return to TV. If I do, this moment will set the storyline for a whole year. I will come back when it’s relevant for me to come back. When I need to come back. When I can give Roman Reigns something and not just ride on his coattails and cling to his fame. I love Jimmy Hart, I really do. I have so much respect for Jimmy Hart, but I don’t want to be Jimmy Hart wearing the boas for Hulk Hogan. I want to do something that adds so much to the show that you sit there and say, ‘I love Roman Reigns, but my God, I love him so much with the Wiseman Paul Heyman,'” he said.
