Paul Finebaum puts Saturday night’s Alabama-Georgia game in the context of SEC history

Paul Finebaum has seen many SEC football games and covered the game for more than four decades. Despite all that experience, he doesn’t think he’s seen a better game than Saturday night’s thriller in between Alabama And Georgia.

During a performance Sports centerFinebaum rated the Alabama-Georgia game as the best he has ever seen in the SEC, making it one of the classic college football games ever played.

“I have covered the SEC for more than 40 years,” said Paul Finebaum. “You can see it here, but I think this is the best SEC college football game I’ve seen in all my years. I know we often get stuck on being prisoners of the moment, but it’s an exaggeration to say we are in this case.”

At first, the game didn’t seem particularly competitive. Alabama took a 28-0 lead and appeared to be in complete control. Georgia didn’t give up, however, and fought back to take a small lead late in the fourth quarter. This is the time Jalen Milroe found Ryan Williams for a huge touchdown to give the Crimson Tide the lead again.

Georgia responded by driving down the field. When, however Carson Beck threw an interception into the end zone, the game was all but sealed and the Crimson Tide would hold on to win a huge game.

“You saw the trail. You saw the comeback. You’ve seen the end. It had everything you could have, including the fact that we have this rivalry in the SEC, two of the best teams in the country that may or may not play again. There was absolutely everything,” Finebaum said.

“What Kirby Smart What was said is correct, that applies to both schools, nobody left anything on the field. They did their best and when you ask who is the better team, the better team won, but next time it could be different.”

There’s a good chance this won’t be the last time these two teams face each other this season. The SEC Championship Game is still on the table, as is the 12 team College Football Playoffs.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer raves about Jalen Milroe’s development after Georgia win

After the win over Georgia, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer praised quarterback Jalen Milroe for his growth.

“Yeah, coming out of the gates, I really felt like there were steps being taken and a few little things in the last two weeks of practice,” DeBoer said on ABC’s postgame broadcast.

“And he has more to come. There is more room to grow. He did a great job. We gave him some time and he got used to it early on, with his legs and in the air.”
