Patriots vs. Jets live updates: Thursday Night Football heads to New England as Aaron Rodgers seeks his first AFC East win

Aaron Rodgers picked up his first (full) win in Week 2 in the Jets’ 24-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans and will look to lead Gang Green to a second straight win over the division rival Patriots on Thursday at the Meadowlands. The Jets picked up their first win of the season after a Week 1 loss at the 49ers. The Patriots went the opposite way and are 1-1, winning a game against the Bengals in Week 1 before losing in overtime to the Seahawks in Week 2.

Rodgers and the Jets’ passing attack may have to do the heavy lifting against the Patriots. New England ranks second in the league in run defense after two weeks, allowing fewer than 60 yards per game, while the Jets enter Week 3 ranked 26th in the league in the running game despite their backfield being led by Breece Hall and Braelon Allen. The Patriots will look to keep the ball on the ground on offense — they rank fifth in the NFL with 177.5 rushing yards per game, outside of Rhamondre Stevenson, who averages just over 100 yards per game.
