Patrick Mahomes is not only a fan of his teammate from the Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelcehe is a big supporter of the tight end’s brother, Jason Kelceand his epic dance moves.
“😂😂😂😂😂 then go crazy!! @JasonKelce,” Mahomes, 29, wrote via X on Monday, September 16, after seeing Jason’s insane skills on the dance floor. (A day earlier, Mahomes celebrated his birthday with 34-year-old Travis and several other Chiefs players following the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Mahomes was also seen hanging out with both Kelce brothers at Taylor Swift‘s house in Rhode Island in late August.)
Jason, 36, returned to Philadelphia in honor of the Eagles’ Monday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons and quickly found himself on stage during one of the pre-game parties.
ESPN shared a clip of the former Eagles center doing the running man backstage as techno music blared in the background, captioning the clip: “Jason Kelce is BACK in Philly 😂😂😂.” Jason pumped his fist as the crowd cheered him on.
The former NFL star rocked an all-green tracksuit and white sneakers while hanging out with some of Philly’s biggest football fans.
He also attended a few tailgate parties outside Lincoln Financial Field before joining ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown program. Jason was seen in social media videos drinking beer, partying with fans and eating cheesesteaks before heading back to work.
Jason retired from the NFL in March after 13 seasons with the Eagles, but he didn’t stay away from the sport, landing a job as an ESPN commentator on the weekly Monday Night Countdown show, which airs before Monday Night Football.
“I’m excited to be joining ESPN, and specifically the Monday Night Countdown team. ESPN was a constant presence growing up and the network shaped me and my love of all sports,” Jason said in a statement in May. “Now to be on the same screen is a full-circle moment for me. And I mean, it’s Monday Night Football for goddamn it! And I’m ready for football.”
On his first show of the season, Jason left a lasting impression on viewers after saying the word “tits” on live television.
Jason explained during the Sept. 9 show that his wardrobe fits a little differently since he quit football. “Now it fits my stomach, I’ve lost a little weight,” Jason said after his co-hosts noticed a little skin showing under his button-down shirt. “But my tits are still a problem.”
After the moment went viral, Travis teased his big brother, commenting, “I’m surprised he even bought a new one and didn’t just walk around shirtless.”
Travis, who still plays in the NFL, joked about Jason’s too-small shirt on his September 11 podcast “New Heights.”
“You drove to the Bay Area for your first appearance on Monday Night Countdown and forgot to pack a shirt for Jason,” Travis joked, noting that “within the first 30 seconds” of Jason taking his seat on the jury panel, chaos reigned.
Travis admitted that he enjoyed every minute of the show. “Taylor and I watched it and laughed our heads off,” he added, referring to his girlfriend Swift. “It was perfect to show everyone what they were going to experience over the next 18 weeks (of the season).”
Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelcejoined in on the fun on Saturday, September 14, as she applauded her husband for his new job. “Training camp looked a little different this year. Seeing you at the Linc on Monday will be a little different too,” Kylie wrote on Instagram. “Just know that (our three daughters) and I love cheering you on in this new chapter!”
Kylie, 32, added: “Maybe this week you should try not saying ‘tits’?” However, Jason didn’t take his wife’s advice and actually said “tits” again during Monday’s show.
