Paramount+ releases official trailer for Taylor Sheridan’s Landman

Lots of fiery explosions and dirty thug faces fill the trailer for the new Paramount+ drama Farmer, It also includes a warning from star Billy Bob Thornton that “oil drilling is the most dangerous job in the world.”

The West Texas-set drama, which is about – what else? – oil drilling and greed for profit, will premiere on the streamer on Sunday, November 17. The series will start with two episodes, with the remaining episodes of the first 10-episode season appearing every Sunday.

The series is based on the 11-part podcast “Boomtown” by Imperative Entertainment and Texas monthly and was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.

In addition to Thornton, the series also stars Ali Larter (The last victim), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jacob Lofland (Jokers 2), Kayla Wallace (When the heart calls), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chavez (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia) and Demi Moore (Feud: Capote vs. the Swans).Jon Hamm (mad Men) will be in a recurring guest role with Andy Garcia (Consumables Franchise) and Michael Peña (End of the watch) also appear as guest stars.

Landman is produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment and JK Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas monthly also executive producer. Peter Feldman serves as co-executive producer. Distribution is handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
