PAGE Technologies wins Water Council’s Spring Tech Challenge

(Milwaukee, Wisconsin – August 13, 2024 – Water Council Press Release) – PAGE Technologies, a water and soil monitoring platform based in Boulder, Colorado, recently won the Water Council’s 2024 Tech Challenge this spring.

The Tech Challenge connects water innovators with leading water technology companies, fostering potential partnerships and helping new ideas and technologies gain exposure in the industry. The topics and winners are selected by the challenge sponsors, AO Smith Corporation, Badger Meter and Watts Water Technologies. This session’s challenge sought water quality sensor solutions.

PAGE Technologies leverages research from the University of Colorado-Boulder and the University of California-Berkeley to provide a low-cost, all-in-one chemical monitoring platform. The compact system continuously and instantly measures key parameters such as pH, nutrient concentrations, salinity, and other analytes in aqueous environments. Using scalable printing techniques, the company produces sensor arrays that are over 100 times more cost-effective than competing products. The company aims to distribute its technology globally, support underserved communities, and promote sustainable practices in various markets to build climate resilience.

“Finding water technology solutions is critical as water challenges increase around the world,” said Karen Frost, Vice President of Economic Development and Innovation for the Water Council. “We are proud to introduce new innovations like PAGE Technologies to the water technology sector and the wider community through the Tech Challenge.”

Since the Tech Challenge launched in 2019, the Water Council has awarded $190,000 in funding to 19 innovators from nine countries.

The Water Council (TWC) is a global center dedicated to solving critical water problems by advancing innovation in freshwater technology and improving water stewardship. Building on more than a century of innovation, TWC has formed one of the most concentrated and mature water technology clusters in the world, with its headquarters at the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Recognizing the need for smarter and more sustainable water use worldwide, TWC also promotes water stewardship as a natural complement to water innovation in an effort to preserve freshwater resources in the Midwest and around the world.
