Packers vs. Titans, discussion thread for the first half of week three

With Jordan Love officially out of the game against the Tennessee Titans, it’s the Malik Willis Show in Nashville. Can Willis, a former Titan himself, repeat his success from Week 2, when he posted a 126.8 passer rating in his first start as a Green Bay Packer? First, there’s the question of what the running game looks like, which left plenty of room for the passing game last weekend.

Against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, Green Bay carried the ball 53 times for 261 yards, most of which came in the first half of the game. That will be much more difficult this week, as the Titans have world-class Jeffery Simmons and 366-pound rookie T’Vondre Sweat playing in the middle of their defense. However, if they can replicate the Packers’ running success in the first half of last week, they certainly have a chance in this game.

The Titans are 0-2 heading into this game, in part due to poor decisions made by Tennessee quarterback Will Levis. Levis, like Willis, has all the tools, but he hasn’t been able to play consistently enough to be considered a franchise quarterback. In his NFL career, Levis has a 3-8 record and a passer rating of 81.0, which will be 67.3 for the 2024 season.
