The new MagSafe Folio Desk Board from elago
There’s no tech built in here, no Bluetooth, no Qi2 charging. This is just a simple but seemingly effective little accessory that lets you create a sort of heads-up organization system on your desk – you know, like you might do with the fridge in the kitchen, just in a form factor suitable for your desk to accommodate your MagSafe accessories and more.
It’s made from a 4-layer construction: a microfiber backing, followed by a fiberglass support, then the metal plate to aid the magnetic effect, and a vegan leather cover on the outside. The whole thing folds up folio-style so it can stand upright and provide a magnetic surface to support anything magnetic – MagSafe wallets, magnetic phone chargers, and the like.
Although it can be used alone, it is part of the rest of the affordable elago desk accessories range. It attaches magnetically to the brand $38 Smart Magnetic Desk Mat and you can even get a 3-pack of its silicone magnetic cable ties at 11 $ to attach cables, sticky notes and more to the Smart Magnetic Desk Mat Folio we’re featuring today.
While there are certainly other desk organization systems out there, some of them arguably more elegant, like the Oakywood wooden desk drawers we recently reviewed, this is an interesting and quite unique device that doesn’t cost the earth.
