Open thread for the second half of Bills vs. Jaguars MNF

The Buffalo Bills have silenced the Jacksonville Jaguars in 30 very fast-paced minutes. The Bills lead the Jaguars 27-3, but the score doesn’t tell the whole story about how dominant Buffalo has been in this half.

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir has been a one-man demolition team, using his pinball-like prowess to humiliate the Jaguars with every touch. He has already caught six passes (on six targets) for 72 yards and a very entertaining touchdown.

The Bills came out firing on almost all cylinders, even aggressively converting a fourth down attempt on their first possession. It was the James Cook show early on, with Allen often finding his dual-threat running back for passes in the flat. Cook’s energy was infectious from the start, and his feel for the end zone got the first-half party started. At the break, Cook had six carries for 22 yards and a touchdown, along with four catches (on five targets) for 48 yards.

Buffalo is an impossible task for Jacksonville’s man defense. The energy from the Bills’ sideline has noticeably robbed the Jaguars of all their reserves.

Through two quarters, quarterback Josh Allen completed 22 of 28 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns, along with three runs for 22 yards. His four scores went to four different receivers: tight end Dalton Kincaid, running back Ty Johnson and wide receivers Shakir and Keon Coleman – who scored his first NFL touchdown in epic fashion.

Safety Damar Hamlin intercepted a pass from quarterback Trevor Lawrence intended for rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. late in the second quarter, marking the first interception of his career.

Five possessions. Five touchdowns. And there’s still a second half to play. Here’s your second half thread to enjoy the rest of tonight’s game with your fellow Buffalo Rumblers. As always, be kind to each other and with every ounce of energy you have, by all means…Go Bills!
