Earlier Saturday, officers responded to another report of a shooting in the area between 20th Street and Cornhusker Highway. The caller told officers that 51-year-old David Blackburn of Lincoln fired several shots into the building after a verbal argument between the two.

Officers found a bullet hole in a vehicle and six bullet holes in an exterior wall of the building.

Officers found Blackburn at a nearby hotel and found the gun allegedly used in the shooting on his person. He was arrested and booked into the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of attempted second-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, discharging a weapon near a vehicle or building and making terroristic threats.

Police do not believe the shootings are related. The investigation into the shootings at 11th and P. and 33rd and Holdrege is ongoing. The LPD said it is seeking information from the public, including video footage, regarding both incidents.
