COBURG, Oregon — Update (11pm):

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Sean Joseph Lynn was arrested by police on a charge of first-degree murder.
That was around 9:30 p.m.

He was booked into the Lane County Jail.

The identity of the deceased is currently being kept secret until next of kin have been notified.

Authorities in Lane County are investigating a fatal shooting on Monday.

On Monday (August 19) at around 3 p.m., officers from the Lane County Sheriff, Oregon State Police, Coburg Police and Linn County Sheriff responded to a reported shooting in the 33000 block of Coleman Road north of Coburg.

When they arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives began questioning the residents involved and the investigation is ongoing.

“There is no ongoing danger to the public,” the LCSO said.
