KANSAS CITY, Missouri. – Kansas City Women’s Basketball is pleased to announce its full schedule for the 2024-25 season, marking an exciting new chapter in the third year under the leadership of the Head Coach. Dionnah Jackson DurrettWith a squad that includes seven new faces and a commitment to build on past success, the Roos are ready for a season full of high-energy and challenging encounters.

The Roos begin their season with a road game in Utah, where they will face Utah State on November 4 and Utah Valley on November 6. The first home game of the season follows on November 9, when Kansas City hosts William Jewell at the Swinney Center. The Roos continue their non-conference schedule with road games against Western Illinois and Alabama A&M, rematches of the 2023-24 season.

A notable early season highlight will be a Nov. 22 home game against Lindenwood, a prelude to a high-profile road game at Nebraska on Nov. 26. Kansas City will return home on Nov. 30 to face UT Dallas before competing in the second annual Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. This year’s Challenge will see the Roos travel to Sacramento State and host Idaho State on Dec. 4 and 7. The Summit League emerged victorious from the first Challenge, thanks in part to two Kansas City wins over Portland State and Weber State.

As part of their demanding schedule, the Roos will face Kansas for the second consecutive year, traveling to Lawrence on Dec. 11 and then taking on Tulsa on Dec. 15. Kansas City will wrap up its non-conference play with a multi-team holiday event in Texas, where they will play Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and UTRGV on Dec. 19 and 20 before hosting Westminster on Dec. 29.

Summit League play for Kansas City begins on Jan. 2 with an away game at St. Thomas. The Roos will look to improve on their eighth-place finish from last season and will play every Summit League team home and away.

The 2024-25 season promises to be exciting for Roos fans, with a total of 13 home games scheduled throughout the year. Fans are encouraged to purchase single game and season tickets now to ensure they don’t miss any of the action.
