Oasis: New dates in Wembley, tickets and raffle opportunities | Oasis

Oasis have announced two more dates for Wembley Stadium concerts due to “phenomenal demand”, giving fans who missed out on the first round of tickets hope of still getting their hands on one this time around. The band have promised to improve the sales process after many people were frustrated and annoyed by the long virtual queues and skyrocketing dynamic prices when tickets for the first series of concerts went on sale. Here we look at what might be different this time around.

What do Oasis do?

The two additional concerts at Wembley Stadium in London on September 27 and 28, 2025, are a response to the “unprecedented demand” in the initial sales, which led to 10 million fans from 158 countries queuing online to try to get tickets.

The band took the opportunity in their recent announcement to distance themselves from the furore surrounding seller Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing strategy, which saw some fans queue online all day only to find that the price of standing room tickets had risen from £135 to £355 by the time they were able to confirm their purchase.

The band blamed promoters, Ticketmaster and their own management team, saying they had “no knowledge at any time” of the sales strategy, which is now the subject of separate investigations by the UK and its European competition authorities.

How can fans get tickets for the new dates?

The plan to take a “small step towards improving the situation” is to set up a “special, staggered vote, which can be attended by invitation only”.

In practice, the Guardian understands that the database of those who originally participated in the first pre-order vote last Friday is now being reviewed to rule out suspicious applicants such as bots.

Verified fans who were unable to secure a ticket in Ticketmaster’s pre-order draw last Friday will be the first to be invited to try again. The sale will then be open to all other fans.

Oasis has not said if or when customers who attempted to purchase through Ticketmaster, See Tickets or Gigs and Tours on Saturday will participate in the special vote.

The date for the release of the new vote on the two additional dates has not yet been announced, but it is assumed that the band attaches great importance to the vote taking place as soon as possible.

How many tickets will there be and how much will they cost?

Wembley is the biggest venue in the UK and 180,000 tickets are expected to go on sale, which is the maximum capacity over the two nights.

Prices have not yet been announced, but ahead of Friday’s pre-sale, promoters said standing tickets would cost around £150, while regular seated tickets would cost between £73 and £205. The band have not yet clarified whether prices will be dynamic for the new dates, but given the furore over the practice, it would be surprising.

Why did Oasis do this?

The ticket pricing scandal has damaged the band’s image ahead of their highly anticipated reunion tour, set to be the biggest in British history, and Oasis admitted the experience “did not live up to expectations”.

The band explained that while it was “impossible” to schedule enough concerts to meet audience demand, they wanted to make the purchasing process “more seamless” and reduce the “stress and time” it took fans to get tickets for their first concerts in 16 years.

The commercial reality, however, is that adding two new shows will be extremely lucrative, as the tour, which began with 14 dates in the UK and Ireland, has now quickly expanded to 19.

Birmingham City University has speculated that the original 14-date UK tour could raise £400 million from ticket sales and add-on tickets alone – around £28.5 million per show.

With the two new shows, the tour could now generate revenue of around £550 million for promoters, ticket sellers, management and the band.
