According to mcbroken.com, a website that tracks the status of the fast food giant’s soft serve equipment, the Empire State currently has the most broken McDonald’s ice cream machines – 32%.

The site also provides a map and shows whether the ice machines are working, broken or not. Fast food rival Wendy’s is running an ad at the top of its website promoting its $1 Frosty Fix product. If you’re craving ice cream and McDonald’s isn’t available, you’ll find a convenient Wendy’s option on the menu.

This isn’t the first time a rival restaurant has taken over the website, created by software engineer Rashiq Zahid in 2020, as California-based Jack in the Box used it to promote a new product in 2022.
