Below you will find the highlights from today’s special edition of Football night in America on peacock:

ON SITE IN SÃO PAULO

Jac Collinsworth: “Today there is simply a different atmosphere here. You can see Peyton Manning jerseys, Tom Brady jerseys, Patrick Mahomes Jerseys – of course, lots of Eagles and Packers jerseys too. These fans have been waiting a long time for this moment.”

Harrison: “This morning I wanted to have a nice, quiet breakfast. I walk into the hotel lobby and see only Packers and Eagles fans – it took me 45 minutes to get a seat for breakfast.”

Dungy on the conditions on site: “Green Bay may have a slight advantage because the turf is just like Lambeau Field. The Philadelphia defensive backs were here earlier and slipped a little bit. They’ve all switched to long cleats and are ready to go now.”

ABOUT PACKER

Harrison on the Packers defense: “They have invested a lot in defence. They have signed a new player, Xavier McKinneythe best free security on the market, they signed again Rashan Garyand hired an aggressive defensive coordinator…this defense should be much better.”

Dungy on QB Jordan Love: “He’s the perfect leader for this group. He’s made them work hard and grow. They love him.”

Harrison on love: “I really like Jordan Love. When I met him last year, he was humble, he was cool, but the moment wasn’t too big for him. I really trust Jordan Love.”

McCourty on love: “I’m excited to see how maturely he handles all of this. Everyone had question marks… he came in and delivered. Now everyone is expecting this team to potentially make the Super Bowl. That’s a big challenge, so I want to see how he handles it.”

Simms: “Over the last year, the coaches have always said, ‘It’s sink or swim time. We need to see if this guy can get to the next level and carry us,’ and that’s what he’s done… he just doesn’t flinch. He’s going to hang on until the very last second.”

ABOUT ADLER

Dungy on RB Saquon Barkley: “He will give the Eagles some attitude again. Last year they lost their running game. He will not let that happen. He will also help the receivers because in order to stop the run they have to team up against him.”

Simms on RB Saquon Barkley: “I’m so happy for Saquon Barkley. Hey, I’m a Giants fan and I’m just telling you, he’s a superstar and he’s finally getting the support he needs.”

Harrison in defense: “If you draft the two best defensive backs in college football, the secondary automatically gets better. You have CJ Gardner-Johnsonyou have Kill Darius…with coach (Vic) Fangio and what he brings, I think, will make them a lot better…When you have a new defensive coordinator, it’s great because you feel like you have a clean slate.”

Dungy on the impact of losing C Jason Kelce: “Jalen Hurts will not Jason Kelce that you can rely on…Coach (Nick Sirianni) showed me plays in the film session where Jason said, ‘He’s coming, don’t worry about him, Jalen, we’re slipping, we’ve got him.’ Jalen Hurts has to take those protections tonight and make those decisions himself at the line.”

McCourty on QB Jalen Hurts: “His father was a coach, so he learned the game of football in his head before he even started playing. That’s something he can do… how does (offensive coordinator) Kellie Moore make the game easier for Jalen Hurts? I want to see him help Jalen Hurts get even better.”

TO THE RAVENS-CHIEFS SEASON REVIEW

McCourty on Ravens QB Lamar Jackson: “The number of times he dropped back and looked like he was letting everyone on the field just to run made him think he was trying to help the team win with every big play, but that wasn’t necessary.”

Simms on Jackson: “I think he was still mad about the AFC Championship Game and tried to carry the team on his shoulders. You like to see him run with the ball a little bit, but at 205 pounds and the load he took last night, he’s not going to last the rest of the year playing like that.”

ABOUT BENGALS

Florio on the contract situation of WR Ja’Marr Chase: “This has become a game of contract rushing. We know what Chase wants, but the Bengals believe he will take their best offer on Saturday. I’m not so sure. I’m told he’s willing to wait on Sunday if he doesn’t get what he wants.”

NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL WITH KAYLEE HARTUNG

Roger Goodell on the introduction of the NFL in São Paulo: “Just look around, right? The spectators, the fans, the enthusiasm, the stadium itself. The leadership here really wanted to achieve this and that makes a difference for us.”

Goodell on playing at international locations: “If we can get these games out into the global markets, into television, into the media, all of that will help. And at the end of the day, if the fans come here and experience this environment, it will be a big event. That will help us.”

Goodell on the possibility of an international split: “I am convinced that there are a number of cities internationally that could do this, but we are always worried about the competition.”

Goodell on the new dynamic impetus: “So many factors come into play… we want to see if we can get that play back, execute it in a safe manner and then see what other adjustments we need to make. Whether it’s moving the touchback to the 30-yard line or even the 40-yard line, those are the things we want to talk about.”
