Norwegian women’s footballers lose in record match – The Northerner

The NKU women’s soccer team played in front of a record crowd of nearly 900 fans at Scudamore Field on Tuesday as they took on the Ohio University Bobcats. Many athletes from other NKU sports came to Scudamore Field to support the team.

The women’s soccer team emphasized on Instagram that Tuesday’s attendance of 879 was the largest in NCAA Division I history.

The game started fast for the Bobcats as they scored a goal in the sixth minute through the leg of Rayann Pruss. The scoring wouldn’t stop there for the Bobcats as Maia Kaufman scored a goal in the 21st minute to put them up by two goals.

Ohio’s offense didn’t let up at halftime either, and thanks to a goal from Jaimason Brooker in the 47th minute, they managed to score a goal that gave them an almost unassailable lead.

Ohio’s defense was just as good as its offense all night. The Norse were only able to get two shots on goal from Sofia Wilmes and Ayla Conn, both of which fell short. The Bobcats scored one more time before it was all over, with Brooker dishing out an assist to Scout Murray, bringing the score to 4-0, which would be the final score.
