OMAHA, Nebraska (KMTV) — UPDATE: 1:15 p.m.
Omaha police said there was no threat to the public and a suspect had been located and taken into custody.
The school is now secure, but the curfew remains in effect for the time being.
A suspected suspect has been arrested. Police will remain in the area to continue the investigation and reunite the parents.
There is no danger to the community.

We are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at or near Omaha Northwest High School. Reports indicate there is currently one victim. The school is currently on lockdown. We will continue to update you as we learn more details.

Omaha police have confirmed that a shooting occurred at Northwest High School. The shooting was reported just before 12:30 p.m. and the school was placed on lockdown.
The school remains on lockdown while police search for the suspect. According to OPS, the lockdown will remain in place while the investigation is ongoing.
