No public danger due to strong presence and roadblock in Iron Mountain

DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. (WJMN) — Dickinson County Sheriff Aaron Rochon says there was no danger to the public due to the heavy police presence and road closure Saturday.

Our on-scene team saw officers stopping traffic on Upper Pine Creek Road between Williams and Woodland Drive.

Sheriff Rochon said he could not immediately comment on the nature of their activity, but added there was no danger to the public and he expected to lift the closure on Saturday evening.

Even after that time, neighbors may still see police activity, as Rochon said officers will continue to work on a property between traffic stops after cars are allowed to pass through again.

Rochon also told Local 3 that no arrests have been made in connection with her activities.
