Devin Booker and Kevin Durant deserve a break.
The two superstars have spent the last five weeks playing for Team USA en route to winning a gold medal. I’ll be the first to say we don’t have to see them until Christmas Eve, when the Suns reportedly face the Denver Nuggets. The miles and wear and tear these two have accumulated this summer will have to be taken into account when the NBA’s long, long regular season begins in October. That there is no full offseason should be taken into account. Do Durant and Booker even need to show up to training camp? Don’t give me that “we need to build chemistry” nonsense for a Tuesday night game against Atlanta in November.
