NMSU invites writers and poets to the Nelson Boswell reading series

WHAT: La Sociedad para Las Artes at New Mexico State University hosts a public reading for writer Karen Brennan and poet Joni Wallace as part of the Nelson Boswell Reading Seriesthat invites guest authors to NMSU to share their work with the community.

WHO: Karen Brennan is the author of nine books, including poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. She is the recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship and an AWP Award and is Professor Emerita of English and Creative Writing at the University of Utah. Joni Wallace’s Poems and hybrid works (sound, video) have been published in numerous journals and her collection of documentary poems was published in the anthology Privacy Policy, The Poetry of Surveillance and presented by the Scottish Poetry Library and the Poetry Society of America.

WHEN: Friday, September 13, 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: CMI Theatre in Milton Hall, Room 171

VISUAL ELEMENTS: Authors read from their works. Copies of Brennan’s latest story collection, The Rabbit in the Moon, and Wallace’s collection, Landscape with Missing River, will be available for sale. A reception will follow the event.
