TRENTON – Police arrested two men in the capital earlier this year for attacks with paintball guns.
On Monday, Trenton police announced they had arrested 24-year-old Jamal Crusoe and 20-year-old Jesse Jones.
They are both accused of three counts of grievous bodily harm and two weapons offenses.
The investigation, which dates back to June, also ended with a drug charge against Crusoe.
3 injured in paintball attacks in Trenton
Two men were walking on the sidewalk in Trenton in June when they were hit by a volley of paintballs. A third victim was sitting on his porch when he was hit.
While paintball shots are not fatal, they are often painful and leave injuries. Each victim suffered bruises and scratches in the attack; one man was hit at least five times in the chest, back, forearm and both sides of his body.
An investigation revealed that the paintballs were fired during a drive-by attack.
Police later identified Crusoe and Jones as the men responsible.
Police carry out heroin raid
Detectives later spotted Crusoe in Trenton on Walnut Avenue near Monmouth Street.

He ran but gave up after less than a block, police said.
Police said Crusoe had heroin on him – enough to be charged with trafficking. He was charged with obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, drug possession, intent to sell heroin and intent to sell heroin within 500 feet of a park.
A revolver was also found in the area, but it is not known if Crusoe threw it away during the escape, police said. Investigators are reviewing video footage from cameras in the area to determine if he threw it away.
