(Beaverton, Oregon) – September 19, 2024 – The Board of Directors of NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) today announced that Elliott Hill will become President and Chief Executive Officer of NIKE, Inc., effective October 14, 2024. Hill will also serve as a director of the Board of Directors of NIKE, Inc. and a member of the Executive Committee.

The Board of Directors and John Donahoe have decided that he will step down from his role as President and CEO and from the Board of Directors of NIKE, Inc., effective October 13. He will remain available to the Company as an advisor until January 31, 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.

During his career at Nike, Hill held senior leadership positions in Europe and North America and was responsible for growing the company to over $39 billion. Prior to his retirement in 2020, he served as President – ​​Consumer and Marketplace, leading all commercial and marketing activities for Nike and Jordan Brand, including profit and loss across the company’s four regions. He retired from Nike in 2020. Hill is a graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU) and Ohio University, and currently serves on the TCU Board of Trustees.
