Alongside stars like Meryl Streep, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis and Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman is one of Hollywood’s most legendary actresses, so it’s naturally both surprising and extremely fascinating to find out that she’s learning a thing or two in a new project.

Her new film, Babygirlallowed Kidman to step out of her shell (and perhaps her clothes too) in one of the most daring films she has made to date. “I’ve done some films that are pretty revealing, but nothing like this one,” Kidman said ^ “Vanity Fair – The Wonderful World of Vanity”.

In the film, which premieres at the Venice Film Festival next week, Kidman plays a married, influential businesswoman who begins a “saucy” affair with her intern (Harris Dickinson).

According to the Oscar winner, the sex scenes were directed by body body body Director Halina Reijn was quite exhausting.

“It was killing me,” Kidman admitted. “At one point I thought, ‘I don’t want to be touched anymore. I don’t want to do this anymore,’ but at the same time I felt compelled to do it.”

“I felt very exposed as an actress, as a woman and as a human being,” she said of the filming process. “I had to go in and out, like I had to put my guard back on. ‘What did I just do? Where did I go? What did I do?'”

Luckily, when filming became difficult, she was able to rely on Reijn. “Halina held me and I held her because it was just too challenging for me,” recalls Kidman.

Now that the film is ready for release into the world, Kidman, who has starred in many R-rated films over the years, such as The killing of a sacred deer, young wiped out And Eyes wide closed, starts to get nervous. “It’s like I’m saying, ‘Oh my goodness, I’m doing this and now it’s actually going to be seen by the whole world,'” Kidman said. “It’s a very strange feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It’s not something that’s normally seen by the whole world.”

As a reminder, this is not the first time we have seen Kidman as a hot leading lady this year. In June, she starred in Netflix’s A family affair where she had a film romance with the much younger Zac Efron.
