The Carolina Panthers are off to a rocky start in the 2024 season.

After losing to the New Orleans Saints by a final score of 47-10 in Week 1, the Panthers again looked sluggish on both sides of the ball on Sunday.

Carolina remained pointless in the first half and did not get going after the break, trailing the Los Angeles Chargers 23-3 at the start of the fourth quarter.

In three quarters, Bryce Young completed 10 of 14 passes for just 41 yards and one interception. He was also sacked twice.

Head coach Dave Canales’ team failed to move the offensive lines consistently and only managed to gain 97 total yards on offense and four first downs by the final quarter.

Although Canales met with team owner David Tepper after Carolina’s 37-point loss to start the season, it didn’t seem to resolve any issues in Week 2. Fans criticized Tepper and Young throughout Sunday’s game.

*David Tepper* mortgaged the future because *David Tepper* wanted to. In the alternate universe where the Panthers drafted Stroud, he would be just as angry because David Tepper wreaked havoc in his organization https://t.co/Y9p6UNnnqg

Bryce misses another free throw and holds the ball too long! This team is even worse than last year’s team! @Panther David Tepper owes the entire Panthers nation an apology for drafting this kid and subjecting us to this garbage football over the last few years #KeepHitting

Austin Gibbs @AustinGibbs38

@Panther Bank Bryce and Tepper are selling the team, this is a continuing disgrace!!!!

After finishing last season with the league’s worst record at 2-15, it appears the Panthers have a lot of work to do before they can attempt to secure the organization’s first playoff berth since 2017.
