New Kraven the Hunter Trailer and Poster from Sony SSMU’s Latest Must-See Movie

Today we share the new Kraven the Hunter Trailer and poster from Sony’s latest must-see film, in the SSMU. By SSMU, we mean the official name of Sony’s Spider-Man universe, which these days simply means taking Spidey villains and making them heroes in their own movies. The latest to get this treatment is Kraven the Hunter, played by the supposedly new James Bond Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

I’ll never see this in theaters, but the trailer below doesn’t look too bad.

The problem with SSMU movies is that they can cut a good trailer. Unfortunately, however, they don’t seem to care about cutting a good movie. Sony’s model is simple. Make a cheap movie starring a Marvel character that fans have heard of. Hire actors whose agents don’t know the difference between MCU and SSMU. Cross your fingers and hope to squeak out a meager profit. The last movie, Madame Web bombed hard.

There are rumors that this entry isn’t nearly as bad as some of the previous ones, but I’d wait until release before considering word of mouth.

Check out the poster below.

Deadline published an article yesterday with references to Kraven’s delays and reshoots.

“(Kraven the HunterThe delays allowed Chandor to sharpen the characters and tighten the plot, and there were some strategic reshoots that were effective. After a misfire with Madame WebPES leadership is optimistic that Kraven will be more in line with the Poison films.”

Director JC Chandor said: “I’m extremely proud of the work we all did together on Kraven, and when the film finally gets a chance to be seen, I think it will surprise a lot of people. What’s next for me is, as always, in the hands of the film gods.”

Kraven the Hunter “Takes Names” will be in cinemas from December 13th.

What do you think of the new Kraven the Hunter Trailer and poster? Is this another Sony film from SSMU that is a must-see? Thoughts as always below.
