The New Girl The cast celebrates Lamorne Morris’ Emmy win like it was their own!

Morris, 41, won his first Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a miniseries or anthology series or a movie. His role in Fargo on September 15. Afterwards, his former colleagues, including Hannah Simone, Max Greenfield and Nasim Pedrad, congratulated him on his victory on Instagram.

“I never doubted that,” wrote 44-year-old Simone, who played Cece in the series, in her Instagram stories. “So proud of my former roommate and eternal work brother ❤️.”

Greenfield, 45, posted a clip on his Instagram stories announcing Morris as the winner, tagging the actor along with a “👑.”

Pedrad, who played Morris’ wife Aly on the show, reposted Morris’ post and wrote, “Heart is bursting @lamorne ❤️🥳❤️.”

Damon Wayans Jr., the coach played at New Girlreposted a clip of Morris’ acceptance speech and wrote, “My guyyyyy!!!!! @lamorne with the Emmy win!! 🙌🏾.”

Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson were the only cast members who did not post following Morris’ win, but they celebrated him in the comments on his Instagram post, which included a photo of his engraved Emmy.

“This is for all of you. My insane fans. Love you all,” Morris captioned the post, and Deschanel, 44, commented, “So proud of you!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳,” while Johnson, 46, wrote, “Well deserved man. Congrats.”

Brett Goldstein, Jamie Foxx, Adam Devine and Eiza Gonzalez also left comments celebrating Morris’ win.

“Now it’s time to collect them all. Gotta have them!” Devine wrote, while Gonzalez said she “never screamed louder” than when he won, and Foxx wrote, “Biggups!!”

When Morris was nominated in July, he jokingly thanked the Television Academy for “finally recognizing all my hard work on New Girl” in a statement.

“Although I believe it is a no-brainer, I see that I am nominated alongside Robert Downey Jr., who gave me my role in Tropical Thunder. My fellow nominees and I will not let this happen,” he continued in his statement.

In his acceptance speech, he mentioned Downey Jr. again, saying, “My fellow nominees, Robert Downey Jr. – I have a poster of you at my house, please sign it. Seriously.”
