Netflix announced the premiere date of the new NBA documentary series Starting eleven will be October 9th.

The show followed five NBA stars during their 2023-24 season. The players include LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat and Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings.

The series will likely focus heavily on Tatum and the Celtics’ NBA championship run. Edwards and the Timberwolves also went deep in the postseason. James’ Lakers made the playoffs but lost in the first round. The Heat and Kings did not reach the postseason.

The short trailer, which Netflix released on Wednesday, shows the five players in a group chat about the 10-part series.

Various production companies worked on Starting elevenincluding Omaha Productions by Peyton Manning, Higher Ground by Barack and Michelle Obama and Uninterrupted by James.
