NBC’s “Found” returns with a new time slot and free kidnapper

(NBC) – NBC’s missing-person drama “Found” returns for a new season this week in a new time slot.

It’s now Thursdays, right after Law and Order: SVU.

Sir, the kidnapper who turned the tables, spent most of the first season of “Found” locked in a basement but managed to escape. In the closing moments of the finale, the show’s main character, Gabi Mosely, tried to warn her sister Lacey Quinn while Sir watched just feet away.

At the beginning of the season, Mosely is convinced that her sister is dead.

“I don’t think Gabi or the audience believes Sir would be an empty threat,” said show star Shanola Hampton, who plays Mosely. “And he specifically said, ‘I’m going to kill Lacey if you blow this thing up,’ and then it exploded.”

Mosely’s missing persons team also implodes after she admits what she did to the man who once kidnapped her.

“The undertone is: How can we work together when we have been betrayed? “Can we rebuild the company?” said Kelli Williams, who plays Margaret Reed, Mosely’s lead investigator. “Everything is in question.”

Including why Sir is so obsessed with Mosely.

“It’s something he can’t explain,” said Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who plays Sir. “He has this connection that may seem one-sided, but maybe it’s not.”

“It’s funny that that interdependence that you need to be with a person like me translates off-screen too. So it was really easy to play,” Hampton joked.

The bigger question is how the connection between Mosely and Sir will develop in the second season of “Found.”

The season premiere of “Found” airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC4, right after the season premiere of “Law and Order: SUV.”
