Denver Nuggets superstar Jamal Murray has reportedly signed a generous new four-year contract extension worth a maximum of $208 million.
The mammoth deal, first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, guarantees Murray $244 million over the next five seasons.
He won the 2023 NBA title with the Nuggets and recently represented Canada at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The 27-year-old is now excluded from the transfer as a free agent as his current contract expires next summer.
After recovering from a torn ACL that caused him to miss the entire 2021-22 season, he has formed an impressive partnership with three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

This dream team helped them win the NBA championship the year after his return from injury, with the Nuggets defeating the Miami Heat 4-1 in June 2023.
Murray is one of only eight players in NBA history to score 50 points in multiple games and is the Nuggets’ all-time leading three-point shooter.
Last season, he was one of three players to average 20 points, six assists and a 40% three-point shooting percentage.
He was selected No. 7 overall by the Nuggets in the 2016 draft and has played nowhere else in his seven-season NBA career but in Denver.
