Native Plant Sale September 7th and 8th at Good Luck CellarsAs summer turns to fall, it’s the best time to spruce up properties with native plants. There’s no better place to get some than the annual Native Plant Sale hosted by the Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society (VNPS).

This year the chapter has a new venue, Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock. The sale will be held on September 7th from 12pm to 3pm and September 8th from 1pm to 3pm.

Knowledgeable native plant experts and landscape architects will be on hand to answer questions – the right plant in the right place. Members of the Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Master Gardeners Shoreline Evaluation Program will be on hand to answer related questions.

The free third edition 2022 of Native plants of the Northern Neck Additional teaching materials will also be available, including “Deer Resistant Plants” and “Salt Tolerant Plants.”

“We are so excited to have such a perfect venue as Good Luck Cellars for our plant sale,” said Betsy Washington, President of the Northern Neck Chapter, VNPS. “All of the plants for sale are native to Virginia, most of them from the Coastal Plain of Virginia, including the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. It is one of the few sources of native plants in the area.”
