Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged in an intimate ceremony on August 8, 2024. It was Naga’s father Nagarjuna who announced the duo’s engagement on social media. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for Chay and Sobhita’s wedding and the former has finally dropped a major hint about it.
Naga Chaitanya comes as a bridegroom with a baraat at an event
On August 27, 2024, Naga Chaitanya made a public appearance at an event and was seen dressed as a groom, which attracted a lot of attention. In a video that made the rounds on social media, the actor was seen in a white-tinted Sherwani when he arrived in a fancy white car decorated with flowers. Chay was accompanied by Band Baajaand the dhol Beats echoed in the background.
Naga Chaitanya reveals his wedding plans
During a conversation at the event, Naga Chaitanya made his first remark about his wedding with his fiancée Sobhita Dhulipala. Answering the most important question, the actor assured his fans that he would announce the date and other details of his wedding very soon. He also expressed his happiness over finding his perfect life partner. According to a report by Telugu Cinema, Chay said:
“I am super happy to have met my partner and will be announcing all the details of my wedding very soon.”

According to several reports in Telugu media, including News18 Telugu, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala may get married by the end of the year. Otherwise, the couple may exchange their marital vows in March 2025. The report added that while Chay and Sobhita have not yet finalised a wedding venue, Rajasthan is their first choice and they are also looking at destinations in Madhya Pradesh and even abroad.

Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna was asked about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding date. In response, the superstar stated that the duo rushed their engagement as August 8 is an auspicious day. He added that Chay and Sobhita have decided to marry each other and the family is OK with it but there is no rush. He was quoted as saying:
“Not right away, Subhash. As I told you, we decided to rush into the engagement because it was an auspicious day and since Chay and Sobhita are very sure that they want to get married, we said let’s do it.”
