My makeup tool dupe from Dollar Tree is a must-have – it costs a fraction of what you’d pay at a beauty store
A money-conscious beauty lover has revealed that the tool she purchased from Dollar Tree is a counterfeit of a popular product.
She raved that it works just as well as more expensive alternatives sold in beauty stores.

The woman shared her budget-friendly recommendations in response to a post on Reddit’s Drugstore MUA forum.
AFFORDABLE BEAUTY
She raved about paying just $1.25 at Dollar Tree for several items she uses for her makeup.
“The Beautyblender and reusable makeup remover wipes are a must-have!” she said, writing under the name Iridescentmelody.
“Both work so well and cost a fraction of what you would pay at a beauty store.”
Dollar Tree’s inexpensive Blending Sponges look strikingly similar to Beauty Blender’s original Makeup Sponge, which sells for $20 at Sephora.
Nearly 475,000 buyers liked the product, which was designed to apply complexion products such as foundation, BB cream and powder.
One customer said in her review that Beauty Blender delivers a “flawless” finish, while another raved that it doesn’t absorb product.
The Reddit user chose her bargain over the expensive purchase and revealed that it is not the only Dollar Tree product that she loves.

“I also buy cotton swabs from the dollar store to keep with my makeup because I use them to remove smudges and use them up quickly,” she said.
“I also tried LA Girl’s four-color eyeshadow palettes and was surprised at how buttery and smooth they were!
“I like to watch YouTube reviews to get buying tips.”
She added that the discount store is her first stop for finding “cute” hair accessories like scrunchies, clips and headbands.

Many people have upvoted the post to show that they appreciate the product recommendations.
One top commenter suggested heading to Dollar Tree towards the end of the year to purchase makeup sponges in different sizes.
“I got a three-pack of Beautyblenders in different sizes in a cute little package around Christmas time,” she said.
“The smallest one is absolutely perfect for blending color corrector/concealer under my eyes.
“Hopefully they’ll have them back so I can stock up.”

The consternation over Dollar Tree comes after TikToker Victoria Sofia (@victoriasofia.m) was surprised to find knockoffs of expensive skincare products in the store.
She said it’s “crazy” how similar B-Pure’s Revitalizing Moisturizer is to Olay Regenertist, which costs $27.40 at Target.
She also compared Dollar Tree’s mini lip oils to Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch tinted lip oil, which costs $20 each at Sephora.
Victoria recommends replacing hair care products such as shampoo and conditioner with inexpensive alternatives.
