The first five episodes of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen contain the flashback arc. MAPPA, the animation studio behind JJK, will compile the episodes into a movie. The storyline will focus on Gojo’s high school years with Suguru Geto, another special class wizard.

Their normal lives are turned upside down when an escort mission takes a bad turn. Master Tengen is an immortal Jujutsu wizard imprisoned in their chamber, the Tombs of the Star Corridor. They task Director Yaga with entrusting Gojo and Geto with protecting the Star Plasma Vessel.

Roughly every five centuries, a Star Plasma Vessel is born with the potential to restore Master Tengen’s immortality by merging with them. A cult that worships Tengen is opposed to the merging and therefore puts a huge bounty on their heads.

Therefore, Gojo and Geto must escort her safely before she merges with Master Tengen. Gojo and Geto are the strongest duo, so victory seems certain until Toji Fushiguro, the “Sorcerer Killer”, sets his sights on the prize money.
