Mohammed Siraj leaves the field after sustaining an injury in the first Test against Bangladesh

Star Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj left the field after sustaining an injury during the first Test against Bangladesh. India hosts Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, with the first Test kicking off on September 20. Batting first, India scored 376 runs in 91.2 overs. Bangladesh, on the other hand, got off to a difficult start with the bat and were reduced to 22-2 within the first 10 overs.

The Indian bowlers, including Mohammed Siraj, continued to do their magic and kept picking up wickets. Unfortunately, however, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj left the field after suffering an injury. The pacer sustained an injury to his left knee while playing near the boundary. After bowling the ball, Siraj received first aid from the team’s physiotherapist before eventually walking off the field limping.

Mohammed Siraj dismisses Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto for 20

The Indian bowler outdid Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto in the ongoing Test on the second day. Hossain was forced out to bat in the second over and was at the other end when the wickets fell in a hurry and he had to abort his short walk to the field. On the first ball of the 12th over, the visiting captain chased a ball bowled by Siraj outside the off stump.

Shanto got a thick edge and Virat Kohli, who was in the slip, went deep and caught the ball. Shanto had to go back for 20 off 30 deliveries and after his departure, Bangladesh were 36/4 after 11.1 overs.
