The Lynx are in the league semifinals for the first time since 2020, marking a significant step forward after a tough first-round exit last season, losing 2-1 to the Sun at Target Center. This year they are determined to flip the script.

In this duel, the Lynx’s strong offense, especially from a distance, faces off against one of the best defensive units in the league. The Lynx are the best three-point shooting team in the league, while the Sun are second in defending the perimeter. The Lynx’s ability to space the floor could be a deciding factor, especially since they’ve gained an advantage in that area with the addition of Mabry.

Also contributing to the storyline are Lynx point guards Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman, who have strong ties to Connecticut. They played key roles for the Sun in past Finals appearances, including 2019 and 2022, but now they want to lead Minnesota back to the championship stage.
