HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech Athletics partners with Athlete’s Thread, providing the nearly 400 NCAA student-athletes an exciting platform to showcase their own brand and benefit financially from their name, image and likeness (NIL).

“Our NCAA student-athletes have been actively seeking opportunities to leverage their name, image and likeness, and our new partnership with Athlete’s Thread provides them with the opportunity to do so through an established and reputable company,” said Suzanne Sanregret, vice president of athletics and recreation at Michigan Tech. “This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to helping our Huskies build their personal brands. I am thrilled to have our student-athletes design personalized apparel and look forward to our fans supporting our Huskies.”

Student-athletes who choose the program receive royalties from the sale of co-branded apparel featuring their name and number and the official Michigan Tech Athletics logo.

Athlete’s Thread is a leading supplier of NIL merchandise, allowing student-athletes to take advantage of the opportunity to sell merchandise while using Tech’s official logos and trademarks in accordance with current NCAA guidelines. Athlete’s Thread works with more than 150 colleges and universities, providing over 18,000 student-athletes with high-quality merchandise and jerseys so they can leverage their own NIL rights and build their own brand.

As an approved licensee of Michigan Tech, Athlete’s Thread will contract directly with interested student-athletes to design and create NIL-licensed products as well as launch personalized online stores. Items available for purchase include: replica jerseys, sweatshirts, shirseys and caricature designs in both kids and adult sizes. New gear featuring the names, numbers and likenesses of Michigan Tech student-athletes will be added on an ongoing basis if they choose to sign with Athlete’s Thread.
