Michigan CB Will Johnson and Colston Loveland’s injury status for Minnesota

Michigan Wolverines star tight end Colston Loveland missed last weekend’s game against USC due to injury. He’s completely out of today’s injury report, but cornerback Will Johnson is listed as questionable for this afternoon’s game against Minnesota.

Here is the full injury report.

Out of

  • S Jaden Mangham
  • LB Micah Pollard
  • S Rod Moore
  • S Wesley Walker
  • CB Yes’Den McBurrows
  • RB Jordan Marshall
  • RB Leon Franklin
  • LB Jason Hewlett

Questionable

  • Rand Josaiah Stewart
  • WR Semaj Morgan
  • CB Will Johnson
  • C Greg Crippen

Loveland being good today is great news for Michigan. He is by far the best pass catcher on the team – he leads the team with more than 100 yards despite missing last week’s game – and will undoubtedly be one of Orji’s best options in the passing game today and in the future. Orji only threw for 32 yards against USC last week, so hopefully Loveland can provide a much-needed boost.

The fact that Johnson is questionable is a bit concerning since he left the USC game at the end and did not return. Head coach Sherrone Moore said he could have played, but held him back as a precaution. Hopefully he will be able to block off one side of the field today.

There are a lot of new names on the injury report – Josaiah Stewart, Semaj Morgan, Wesley Walker, Ja’Den McBurrows, Greg Crippen and Leon Franklin were all healthy last weekend but are now on the injury report.

Michigan vs. Minnesota begins at noon on FOX.
