Mel B uploaded a video on Instagram describing the moment she suffered a wardrobe malfunction shortly before her television appearance.

Born Melanie Janine Brown, the singer, songwriter and television personality rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the pop group Spice Girls, where she was nicknamed Scary Spice.

“These things always happen before you appear on TV 😂 The best team fixed me up so much we couldn’t stop laughing (sic),” the singer captioned the clip. In the video, one woman can be seen sewing the front of Mel B’s leopard print jumpsuit while another stands next to her with extra thread.

Newsweek contacted a spokesperson for Mel B via email on Tuesday for comment.

“I’m sewing the boobs in because this one – decided to fall apart,” Mel B said, holding on to her outfit so they wouldn’t fall out. “Describe that. I just had Patience look with a piece of string,” she continued, while someone behind the camera added, “Scarlet with the boobs.”

“I have Scarlet with a needle in my boobs. Rita is filming me, I hold my boobs up, there’s fresh cream and food over there. Guess what happened then?” Mel B said, laughing.

When the sewing was finished, the star said, “Thank you,” as he inspected the handiwork and made sure it was secure.

She added: “Thank you, Scarlet, thank you, Patience. And now I’m going to the bathroom – just kidding!”

Although she did not say which show she was appearing in, Mel B was photographed by a photographer wearing this jumpsuit when she Tamron Hall Show on March 26th.

The video was posted on Mel B’s Instagram account amid rumors that Geri Halliwell, also a former Spice Girls star, had pulled out of a reunion tour. Numerous publications reported that the group – which also included Victoria Beckham, Melanie C and Emma Bunton – were discussing a return to tour due to the popularity of their previous performances.

In a previous interview with Hall, Mel B spoke about the reunion tour, saying she was determined to “make it happen.”

This attempt to reunite the band would be the first time the group has performed with all five members since the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.

The quintet debuted in 1994 and achieved astronomical fame with hits such as “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life.” Their cult status was confirmed in 1997 thanks to the commercially successful film World of spiceswhich led to a tour of Europe and the USA
