Megan Thee Stallion and BTS’ RM make you curious about the song “Neva Play”

“I’ve never heard him rap in that style,” says the Houston rapper about his collaborator

Megan Thee Stallion and RM join forces for the new song “Neva Play.” The Houston rapper announced his joint single on Sunday. It will be released on September 6th.

“NEVA PLAY WITH RM OUT FRIDAY HOTTIES X ARMY,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing the hashtag #MEGJOON along with the single’s cover art. The drawing on the cover features a blue-haired Megan holding fanned out money in her hand while RM looks over his shoulder behind her.

Megan added in the caption, “PS This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve ever heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.” BTS’ official X account (formerly Twitter) also shared the cover, adding that the song will be released on “September 6, 1 p.m. (KST) | 12 a.m. (ET).”

She and BTS began announcing the collaboration last week. Megan tweeted a series of emojis on Thursday, including a stallion horse and a purple heart, which fans assumed was a reference to BTS. On Friday, BTS confirmed the news, retweeting Megan’s post and writing “Coming Soon!”

Megan had previously teamed up with BTS in the summer of 2021 for their remix of the megahit “Butter” and joined the boy band in the fall of this year to perform the song live for the first time at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
