McDonald’s Happy Meal Boo Buckets are back for Halloween: Here’s how to buy them

Boo Buckets are back at McDonald’s.

The fast food chain announced that its popular Halloween buckets are coming back on October 15th.

Monster Boo Buckets contain a Happy Meal, replace the classic box and can be used for trick-or-treating.

The fan-favorite seasonal collectible will be available in four new designs: monster faces in white, orange, green and a new blue color. Last year there was a purple bucket instead of a blue one.

The 2023 Buckets also resembled certain classic monsters, including Monster, Skeleton, Mummy, and Vampire. But this year, fans can also customize their Monster Boo Bucket buckets with themed stickers, a press release revealed, so people can make them the monster of their choice.

Boo Buckets are available at participating stores while supplies last.

McDonald’s reintroduced its Boo Buckets in October 2023, marking their official return after debuting in 1986, and brought them back sporadically in 2016 and 2022.

This is the third consecutive season for the Boo Bucket.

Boo Bucket prices may vary by restaurant and location, McDonald’s said.

To get one, simply order any Happy Meal option either in the restaurant or through the app.

“Oh wow. I need one of each,” said another.

“Alright!!! I love Boo Buckets!! I literally use them for trick or treating!” someone shared.

Meanwhile, fans on Instagram were disappointed with the redesign.

“You failed there. I was looking forward to getting more boo buckets this year, but I think I’ll save money instead,” someone said.

“Please stop changing the look and bring back the old school styles from the 90s,” begged another.

“Temu boo buckets,” one person quipped, referring to the controversial online shopping site.

“We simply wanted lids with the old design back. That’s not it!” someone else commented.
