The connection between Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp continues to be impressive.
Even though the game was lost, the duo of quarterback and wide receiver still showed how electrifying they can be.
Los Angeles trailed 17-3 at one point but fought back in the second half. This was against a Detroit team that won the NFC Championship last season, so the Rams can at least build on that performance.
Kyren Williams was the Rams’ best rusher with 50 yards and a touchdown. But Kupp and Stafford provided the real magic.
Stafford completed 34 of 49 passes for 317 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kupp had 14 catches for 114 yards and one touchdown.
On social media, fans praised the performances of Stafford and Kupp.

The Lions were able to equalize with a late field goal in regular time and take possession of the ball in overtime. For quarterback Jared Goff, it was the first win in the regular season against his former team.
Stafford and the Rams have now lost two games in a row to the Lions, but it seems like they still have a promising season ahead of them. A win in Week 1 would have been a great way to start the season, but Los Angeles will be hoping to carry that performance into the season.
The Rams will be back in action in Week 2 when they travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals.
