Matrix Midwest is St. Louis’ only free and independent sports and entertainment network

ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) – St. Louis’ only free and independent sports and entertainment network launched Thursday.

Matrix Midwest is now available over-the-air on channel 32 and channel 186 on Spectrum/Charter. Gray Media launched Matrix Midwest to air alongside St. Louis sister station First Alert 4 (KMOV-TV).

“There is a hunger for more unique sports and entertainment content in the Midwest. We are proud to offer our community another local platform that gives them what they want,” said JD Sosnoff, Vice President & General Manager of Matrix Midwest & KMOV-TV. “This new network will provide fans with free sports programming through key collaborations like our partnership with Mizzou.”

Matrix Midwest will launch on August 29 Mizzou Live with main sponsor Paytientan exclusive SEC pre- and postgame show in partnership with the University of Missouri and Learfield, the media and technology company that supports college sports. This is the only one of its kind in the Midwest and gives viewers exclusive access to their favorite team with special analysis from former player and NFL star Justin Gage. The show airs nationally and is available in seven Missouri markets: St. Louis (Matrix Midwest), Kansas City (KSMO), Cape Girardeau (KFVS-TOO), Springfield (KYCW), Hannibal (WGEM), St. Joseph (ONPN, News-Press NOW) and Columbia (KZOU).

“This innovative partnership with KMOV-TV, Matrix Midwest and Gray Media will be fantastic for our fans across our great state,” said Laird Veatch, University of Missouri athletic director. “Seeing the Mizzou brand on television in such a unique way each game week during ‘Mizzou Live’ will amplify our presence from St. Louis to Kansas City and everywhere in between. We appreciate KMOV’s commitment to helping us continue to grow and evolve.”

On Tuesday evenings, Matrix Midwest broadcasts Tiger Talk with head coach Eliah Drinkwitz. The stage is set for an unstoppable season and fans will get a first look at it every week, exclusively on Matrix Midwest and our partner stations across Missouri.

In addition to MizzouLive And Tiger TalkMatrix Midwest will also broadcast Good Morning Football: Extra Time from the NFL Network. The show will air weekdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. starting September 2nd.

Matrix Midwest’s programming also includes special programs and regular collaborations with the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis City SC, Kansas City Chiefs, HBCU Go Sports, Raycom Sports, Harlem Globetrotters and more.

Matrix Midwest combines all of this with a wide range of entertainment, including Extra, Entertainment Tonight, MyNetworkTV’s flagship programs, Great Day St. Louis, My St. Louis Live and news from First Alert 4. Fans of the region’s culture, lifestyle and sports will find plenty to enjoy at Matrix Midwest.
