Match updates, week 4 live score

The Chicago Bears (1-2) will face the Los Angeles Rams (1-2) on Sunday in Week 4, where the Bears will look to bounce back from two straight losses.

Chicago is coming off a 21-16 loss to the Indianapolis Colts (1-2), where the offense once again struggled to get the run game going against the league’s worst run defense. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 363 yards and his first two passing touchdowns despite committing three turnovers. Once again, the defense did enough to win, even if it had a hard time containing running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 110 yards from the field.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles celebrates a 27-24 comeback win against division rival the San Francisco 49ers (1-2), marking its first win of the season. The Rams rallied from a double-digit deficit after falling behind by 14 points in the second half thanks to an impressive performance from running back Kyren Williams and a late rally in the final seconds that set up the game-winning field goal.

The Bears score a field goal at the end of the first half

After Los Angeles missed a field goal, the Bears’ offense orchestrated an eight-play, 45-yard scoring drive, culminating in a 40-yard field goal by Cairo Santos to extend their lead. Quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver DJ Moore still disagree as Moore slowed down on his way to what should have been a touchdown on third-and-15. Instead, they settled for the field goal. Bears 10, Rams 6

The Rams miss a 43-yard field goal late in the second quarter

Rams kicker Joshua Karty missed a 43-yard field goal at the end of the half, preventing a score. It gives the Bears a chance to come out of the first half with some points.

Roschon Johnson gives Chicago the lead

The Bears defense once again came up with a big play to put their offense in a favorable situation. Defensive end Montez Sweat had a strip sack on quarterback Matthew Stafford that moved Chicago’s offense into the red zone. After a pass interference call on Los Angeles in the end zone, the Bears were at the 1-yard line with a chance to score the go-ahead touchdown. Running back Roschon Johnson scored the game-winning goal. Bears 7, Rams 6

Bears hold Rams to second field goal

While it looked like Jaquan Brisker had intercepted quarterback Matthew Stafford as a safety, Brisker went out of bounds and failed to get back into the play areas when he made the pick. But Chicago still got a defensive stop and held the Rams to another field goal. Rams 6, Bears 0

The Rams strike first with a field goal

After the Bears’ offense stalled on the game’s first drive, the Rams orchestrated a 13-play, 68-yard scoring drive that started at the 5-yard line. Chicago’s defense came up with a big stop, sparked by Gervon Dexter’s third sack of the season. Los Angeles settled for a 46-yard field goal. Rams 3, Bears 0

Bears vs Rams predictions

Chicago’s defense has held them in every game this season, and I expect the same to happen in Week 4. They will benefit from Los Angeles having star receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. But this game once again comes down to whether the Bears offense can take advantage of a Rams defense that struggles both in the air and on the ground. Caleb Williams continues to make progress. But if Chicago can’t get the running game going, this could be another one-point loss to add to the collection. Rams 23, Bears 20
