The release date of Margot Robbie’s new film “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” has been confirmed.
After the box office success of Barbie last year, the actor’s latest project comes May 9, 2025 (about deadline).
Robbie will star alongside Batman’s Colin Farrell in the fantasy romance film, which is described as “an imaginative story of two strangers and the extraordinary emotional journey that connects them.”
The film is directed by South Korean filmmaker Kogonada, who previously worked with Farrell on the science fiction drama “After Yang.” The screenplay was written by Seth Reiss of “The Menu.”

In addition to Robbie and Farrell, the film also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge from “Fleabag,” Lily Rabe from “Love & Death,” Jodie Turner-Smith from “Sex Education,” and newcomer Lucy Thomas.
Earlier this year, Sony Pictures acquired the worldwide rights to the film, which was a huge success at the European Film Market in Berlin.
Tim Rothman, chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures’ Motion Picture Group, previously said in a statement: “In this job, it’s rare that you read a script that is so special and original that you’re inspired and excited to the last page.”

It’s been a busy year for Robbie, as she also wants to bring the classic board game Monopoly to the big screen with a film adaptation.
As announced at CinemaCon in April, the actor’s production company, LuckyChap, will produce the film along with Hasbro Entertainment.
Lionsgate is also involved in the project, but there is currently no further information about the plot, cast or release date.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will be in theaters on May 9, 2025.
